So after a lovely Sunday afternoon stroll, we grabbed all the ingredients to create our Italian masterpieces, and pandora'ed a classic Italian station while we worked. So fun. I must say, they turned out really yummy.

a little saucy
Charlie and I had fun cooking an organic supper together last night. We both wanted pizza (surprise- I was actually hungry and felt like it'd stay down if I'd eat it!) but we didn't feel like grease and tons of garlic found in the normal Pizza Hut standby that we get.

two in one, three in two
No - not twins.
Today we got to see our rather blobby (meant in the kindest, nicest way...) looking baby again and the quickly beating heart. It's currently ticking at a rate of 156! (that's good and normal). Yay! Little baby is 7 weeks 5 days today. This is the third ultrasound Charlie and I have been to in the last three weeks; two being this week alone. Dear me. Lately I feel like I have a part time job just going to doctors appointments. Charlie, being the fantastic dad, husband and support that he is (he goes to many of the appointments) sometimes feels doctor/ultrasound fatigue. Me too.
But we love it. All is going healthily so far. Praise God. We are thankful for this little blessing.
Something else I'm thankful for: a little white magical pill- (zofran) I can take half of it and feel amazing. :-) yeah this past week morning sickness (that's really all day sickness) has gotten the better of me. Lots of time resting. Strange to "like" being sick.
I have more to muse about than baby. But not from my phone. Another time sometime soon.
Hugs!

silly tummy
Target trips can be interesting for a pregnant mommy. The sight/thought of food often makes me feel all "swirly"... So today's trip this is what I ended up with (only because it's all that sounded remotely "tryable"). I don't think Charlie will be all that thrilled to be honest.
I have been feeling great. Only two days last week where I was feeling quite yucky- nauseous, and in bed. But then again- I'm ONLY 6.5 weeks in this (hopefully) 40 week process. :o) There's lots of time for all that.I must say, I've never been sooooo grateful to feel sick or tired. I'm SO blessed to be in this stage. God has blessed us with a tiny little life...the baby is between the size of a sweet pea and a blueberry. Teeny-tiny!
Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. This is about what little Johnson looks like. And below is a picture of our baby taken on this past Monday- Charlie and I got to see baby's little heart beating strong. YAY!
Below is a link to a short video about what's happened so far in baby development, small commercial up front, but then some pretty cool animation...

best valentine ever
Now, what could the following items have in common and have to do with valentines day?
1. Chinese orange chicken and rice and a sudden need to add over medium yellow eggs...
2. Yellow prescription pills3. An obsessively detailed temperature chart...
4. A syringe...
And if you've not picked up on it yet... the next two will give it away...

6. Sticks with lines... (usually only 1 line)
That's RIGHT!
The answer is: The Johnson's are happily announcing we're expecting; we're celebrating this Valentine's Day! (Probably due October 23).
Explanation: 1=craving eggs. 2 & 4= medications God used to help us conceive, 3=I chart basil body temps, 5=an aisle I'd rather not visit again for a while, 6=I'm not crazy- just was watching the med's from the shot leave my body and the natural ones compound (HCG levels).

We're both very excited, and also a little bit tentative. So please pray with us that God would see fit to allow this baby to be born at full term and healthy; and would one day come to know Him as savior!

4 weeks, 2 days pregnant!
(Yes, we know it's really early; but we wanted you to be able to rejoice and pray with us throughout this pregnancy).

fuzzy trees
God made the trees look like they had white fuzz on them when we woke up this morning. (actually really light/sparkely snow and ice). In any case it really pretty. I wish I could find my good camera.

because of said wedding...
I guess I can't say "because" of the wedding- but it's definitely been inspiration for my wintery body.
I have started exercising regularly. Yay me.
(Someone had asked about my inspiration/motivation to get into a fitness program again; amidst this freezing arctic weather and ice. This is one reason- I'll post a few more)

Exhibit A: (one should not be as careless as I've been with my toning and expect to look good in a bridesmaid dress like this).
Exhibit B: Must get body in beach attire worthy condition before summer (nice to get a head start)!
My plan.
I have to have it in front of my face everyday or I'll skip it. I've given myself 4 acceptable options: 1. 1-2 miles on the elliptical (until it's nice enough to run again) 2. lifting for arms and legs, 3+ reps of 18 each. 3. Core yoga 25-30 minutes 4. Walking fast, 40 minutes
I have to choose to do at least one each day and record it. And then I've planned measurement checks ( I took some before I started) every two weeks. Im not concerned so much with the weight, I just want to get toned up.
You can get started too!
ding-dong-ding---bells are gonna ring!
Oh man.
I can't even remember how long we've been praying for this season to come. Anna and I (and I'm sure others) prayed for this man- we prayed that God would be preparing 'him' to be a godly leader, helper, lover and friend for Anna-banana. We prayed when we didn't know who he was going to be, or when/if Anna would meet him.
January. 2009. Sparkling eyes. Smitten. -Anna tells me this mans name.
Paul Anderson.
We're just starting to go to showers, plan parties, listen to wedding plans and it's fantastic! I love to hear my Anna (soon to be Mrs Anderson!) swirl with emotion for this man she will marry in March. Below at a family shower we made her little brides- (out of kleenex, gum, marshmallows, and toothpicks)- here she's picking her favorite. LOL!
It's the wedding of the year. And boy are Charlie and I going to be celebrating Paul and Anna and God's goodness in bringing them together. We love you both!
