a little saucy

Charlie and I had fun cooking an organic supper together last night. We both wanted pizza (surprise- I was actually hungry and felt like it'd stay down if I'd eat it!) but we didn't feel like grease and tons of garlic found in the normal Pizza Hut standby that we get.

So after a lovely Sunday afternoon stroll, we grabbed all the ingredients to create our Italian masterpieces, and pandora'ed a classic Italian station while we worked. So fun. I must say, they turned out really yummy.

No - not twins.

Today we got to see our rather blobby (meant in the kindest, nicest way...) looking baby again and the quickly beating heart. It's currently ticking at a rate of 156! (that's good and normal). Yay! Little baby is 7 weeks 5 days today.

This is the third ultrasound Charlie and I have been to in the last three weeks; two being this week alone. Dear me. Lately I feel like I have a part time job just going to doctors appointments. Charlie, being the fantastic dad, husband and support that he is (he goes to many of the appointments) sometimes feels doctor/ultrasound fatigue. Me too.

But we love it. All is going healthily so far. Praise God. We are thankful for this little blessing.

Something else I'm thankful for: a little white magical pill- (zofran) I can take half of it and feel amazing. :-) yeah this past week morning sickness (that's really all day sickness) has gotten the better of me. Lots of time resting. Strange to "like" being sick.

I have more to muse about than baby. But not from my phone. Another time sometime soon.

silly tummy

Target trips can be interesting for a pregnant mommy. The sight/thought of food often makes me feel all "swirly"... So today's trip this is what I ended up with (only because it's all that sounded remotely "tryable"). I don't think Charlie will be all that thrilled to be honest.

I have been feeling great. Only two days last week where I was feeling quite yucky- nauseous, and in bed. But then again- I'm ONLY 6.5 weeks in this (hopefully) 40 week process. :o) There's lots of time for all that.

I must say, I've never been sooooo grateful to feel sick or tired. I'm SO blessed to be in this stage. God has blessed us with a tiny little life...the baby is between the size of a sweet pea and a blueberry. Teeny-tiny!

Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. This is about what little Johnson looks like. And below is a picture of our baby taken on this past Monday- Charlie and I got to see baby's little heart beating strong. YAY!

Auntie Bridget calls this the "teddy graham" stage. :-)
