lacking fast creativity

As of right now I have three posts I've started, but need to finish. Hopefully this weekend... maybe. ?

But today (btw, 17 weeks 6 days!) I have things I need to do before I play. I'm out of excuses. I now feel like I'm back to myself, and have more energy- finally! Praise the Lord. This was taken 17 w 2 d.

But before I go...
We have a strange little friend living in our yard:

Yumm-o

Charlie and I decided we both really like this Minestrone soup. I ended up adding lean turkey Kielbasa to it too. If I can make it- you can make it- believe me.

Also- Thanks for all the idea's from my last post (via facebook and e-mail) :-) I'm setting to work on that project later this week.

what to do???

UPDATE (2/8/10): Since this post, and having explored my options, I now write or type out my recipes on one full page. As I write, I reorder the recipe so it's laid out with measurements already in the order I should add them, also enter any task it may call for during the recipe. ( ex: in a separate pan start the potatoes boiling, while the pastry rests, etc) then I pop into a plastic cover and put them in a binder. I love it.

What is your favorite way to organize your recipes? -I mean, do you write them out on cards, print them out and paste them to cards, print them on a regular sheet of paper and cut them down, do you keep them on your computer, do you keep them in a binder or box, use plastic covers?

I've got to make my stuff more uniform. Driving me crazy for 6 years.

CRAVINGS 14 weeks 6 days

Very few sweet things ever sound good. Exceptions: Date fruit (thanks Anne), some cereals, pudding pops.
generally these are the things that always sound good. Although lately I've been feeling better if I eat less and just drink a lot of water. Prego Bodies are so strange, yet so cool.

spinning right into summer

TWO CLICKS and I'm into our August calendar at work! WOW. Time is just zipping by. (I schedule events at my job, many of them starting this late summer/fall). I remember when it took a click, click, click, click click to get to the date for those events!

I want to savor each moment of this summer. I want it to creep by in all it's hot and humid, picnics and friends, evening walks, window open, sun shine glory! I want to spend my extra time reading and praying and sleeping (all preferably by the beach).

like someone's squeezing my heart!

I've been hubby-less since Thursday. It was a good weekend, made a meal for a family friend, went to book club, slept a lot, went to a garden party with dear friends, cleaned and read.

BUT I must say that I have missed my amazing Husband in a huge way. Evenings in a quiet house sound dreamy, but get old QUICK, supper alone gives you too much time to think (let alone too many leftovers), dark houses and rooms and empty beds are not fun or secure feeling, waking with no morning kiss, and no best freiend to walk and laugh with- is all just not great. I love having my man around.

I'm glad he got to visit his little bro for a few days, but I'll keep him with me now I think. I pick him up in an hour and I about feel like we're dating again, and we've not seen eachother in forever and I just can't wait. Talking on the phone is NOT the same.

So all that to say: I love you Charlie, and I'm glad you're coming home to me.
